Our approach...
Peer based support

  Can you help?
Raising awareness

Living Room Cardiff’s peer support is the process of giving and receiving non-professional, non-clinical assistance to achieve long-term recovery from severe alcohol and/or other drug-related problems or harmful behaviours.

The definition contains several critical elements:

Peer based means that support and services are provided by individuals who have successfully achieved addiction recovery. Recovery is concentrated around three main elements: 1) sobriety (or working towards abstinence from the substance/drug/behaviour), 2) improvement in general health (physical, emotional relational), and 3) reintegration (community life and participation).

Living Room Cardiff’s Definition of Recovery: A person is in recovery when they say they are or have an interest in recovery.

This year will be a year for raising awareness about the Centre as well as being a concerted fund-raising year for this new charity. Are you willing to help us establish the Centre in Cardiff and come up with creative ideas to help us raise money? The Centre will offer hope to those suffering under the burden of unbearable aloneness. We are eager to speak to your organisation, business, society or church about this new, exciting venture.

Please contact us on 02920 302 101 or by e-mail at to arrange a suitable date and time.
